Board Member Boot Camp is a series of programs designed for both new board members who seek the basics of good boardsmanship and veteran board members who want a refresher. NSBA brings in the country's top trainers aiming to provide attendees with a broad array of knowledge, skills, and strategies. Ethics, parliamentary procedure, the Key Work of School Boards—you'll find it all here.

Among these sessions not to miss: NCLB Basics, at 8 a.m. Saturday. This session provides a comprehensive overview, including requirements for academic accountability, teacher qualifications, student choice, and supplemental services. Presented by Jim Hardy, who is Policy Field Director for Massachusetts Association of School Committees.
