Learn more at pre-T+L Conference activities

Get more bang for your T+L travel buck! As you make plans to attend this year's T+L Conference in Dallas, be sure to include the TLN Site Visit on November 7, 2006, to Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, a Technology Leadership Network member district near Dallas serving more than 26,000 students. The district has implemented a technology training and integration model called Beyond Hardware Initiative, which concentrates on specific curriculum needs and the technology best suited for those needs. A site visit is a day-long, pre-conference activity that participants rave about because of the firsthand experience of seeing technology at work. Click here for more information.
Or plan to attend the Virtual School Symposium (VSS) before NSBA's T+L Conference -- both in the beautiful and historic Dallas area. This symposium is the annual conference for leaders in education and training focused on online learning and virtual schools. Hosted by North American Council for Online Learning, a 2006 co-sponsor of NSBA's T+L Conference, this innovative event will be held in Plano, Texas, from November 5-7, 2006, at the Marriott Town Center. Sessions help K-12 leaders learn about creating virtual schools, online offerings, new opportunities, and how to bring online learning into existing schools. Leaders that have successfully implemented innovative programs will share best practices, provide benchmarks, and share lessons learned. VSS is also a forum to explore the future of online learning in a collaborative, interactive environment.
