NCLB and contractors who are cashing in

Got some entrepreneurial spirit? Then start your own tutoring company! Because now is the time. Revenues for products and services sold to public schools hit almost $22 billion in 2004-05, according to Eduventures, a market research company. That was up 6 percent from the year before, and revenues are expected to keep growing at that kind of rate, AP reports. Not much of a jump, it seems to us. And the testing industry had already seen big growth because of demands from states.

One larger issue is there seems to be little accountability out there. And some vendors are nervous, the article points out, asking: What happens to NCLB after the end of the Bush administration?
