ED OK's Delaware's NCLB assessments

Delaware this week became the second state in the nation to have its standards and assessment system under NCLB approved by the U.S. Department of Education. What does that mean? The state is a step closer to being approved as one of the pilot states to use the growth model for assessing progress toward making AYP. Here was NSBA's take on the growth model program when it was announced last fall.

Details here from the Delaware Department of Education. South Carolina was the first state to receive federal approval, getting the nod in February. Find a list of other states under review here.
