How are your schools using technology?
NetDay, an ed-tech advocacy organization, is beginning its third annual Speak Up event. Both teachers and students are encouraged to take the online Speak Up survey to contribute to a national dialogue about technology use and needs and the development of 21st century skills.
This is a terrific opportunity for your district to collect information about how your students and teachers are using technology. By having students and teachers participate in this online survey, schools and districts get free access to aggregated data for their schools and districts, as well as national summaries for comparison. Past participants have used the data to inform their technology planning, to open up dialogue about technology issues in their communities, and to assess professional development needs.
At the same time, your district's data helps bolster a nationwide effort to inform education policy at the state and national levels. Registration began September 16. The survey will be open for your district's participation October 21 through November 18. Sign up for updates by joining the Speak Up Day news list.
