Multitude of classroom lessons emerge from Hurricane Katrina

We thought this was a fascinating article on how teachers are weaving Hurricane Katrina into lesson plans. Quite a range of topics. Some very impressive, including a high school pre-engineering class studying levee design solutions. (Yes, the dumbing down of America's schoolchildren continues unabated, doesn't it?)
