Texas school boards-superintendents convention will go on

Following up on an earlier BoardBuzz report, the annual convention of the Texas Association of School Boards and the Texas Association of School Administrators scheduled for September 23-25 at the Houston Convention Center will be held as planned despite the fact the center is being used to house hurricane evacuees. There will be a little reconfiguration of the convention space and additional programming will be provided for districts to assist them in serving students being enrolled as a result of Hurricane Katrina. Once again, the Lone Star State shows you can't "mess with Texas."
