Update: No new accountability for Florida voucher schools

Last week we asked whether the Florida Legislature, which turned down an expansion of school vouchers, would step up to the plate and add meaningful public oversight to its existing, scandal-plagued voucher programs. Well, maybe our teachers were wrong. There is such a thing as a dumb question. The St. Petersburg Times reports the accountability legislation, opposed by leading voucher advocates, failed for the second straight year.
