After-school program efforts to continue

NSBA will continue to support local school boards in their efforts to meet students' learning needs beyond the school day, thanks to a new $300,000 grant from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation. After-school and summer programs that promote student success and community engagement are among the most innovative educational activities today. This new award will continue the Extended-Day Learning Opportunities program (EDLO) until 2007.
